The portion the Lord showed me in the context of Suguna's demise(you hear it in God's will audio) contains this."I, the Lord, have spoken;it is coming and I will act....." (Ezek 24:14). It is amazing. God acts! Word in action! It is His power. He created this world out of nothing ,"Ex Nihilo". Out of nothing came everything! These days much effort is on supporting the Word to see experience of salvation or deliverence in others. Whatever support that comes from us and in whichever form it comes(our experience, reasoning, illustrations, objective lessons etc),should serve as a vehicle for passing on His word. Expository preaching, in this context, is always safe. We get engrossed in completing the text. What a travesty making God's word our vehicle! You want results manifested. Satan tricks here. Ego waits for aggrandisement of self. Paul knows that what he speaks is God's word. Even if he had not seen people in Thessalonica believing, he would have still belived what he preached is God's word. Thank God. They too thought so and believed. Hence it manifested in them.
After all, God put power in His Word to generate faith.(Rom 10:17).Manifestation is His job. It is His power(Heb11:3;Isa 55:11). Rejoicing and praising Him is our job.
We fall into the error of proportions if we are guided by results. Paul by his experience at Troas knows for sure that the Spirit took him to Thessalonica and believed it is truly God's word. (1Thess 2:13). Whether he had seen his labour coming to fruition or not, he would have still believed that it is truly His word and His work(Acts 16:9). That is trusting the power of His word and His work!
Let us be willing to make His word override and have a sway.
